Salt Coast is a coastal house painting service launching October 2026, working across Perth and the WA coast. How Ocean Reef weathers
Ocean Reef sits in the front-line spray zone, where airborne salt settles on render, timber and metalwork daily. Coatings here fail from the outside in: salt lifts films from beneath, UV chalks unprotected surfaces, and winter southerlies drive moisture into any unsealed crack. Every system we specify in Ocean Reef is selected for direct marine exposure.
Hodges Drive splits Ocean Reef in two and the split shows in how houses fail. West of it, homes take direct salt load and the 1980s brick and tile is well past its first recoat, with chalking render and corroded gutter ends the usual finding. East of Hodges Drive the pace is slower but the same faults arrive eventually. Marina construction to the north has added airborne dust that bonds with salt film on north-facing walls.
We work throughout Ocean Reef, from Ocean Reef Boat Harbour through to Ocean Reef Primary School. That takes in the coastal dune path, Hodges Drive, Beaumaris Shopping Centre, and the streets around them.
