How we work

The finish is in the preparation

The difference between an interior job that looks great and one that looks ordinary is almost always the preparation. We fill and sand holes, cracks and dents, sand back glossy or flaking surfaces so the new paint bonds, mask and protect floors, fittings and furniture, and prime where it's needed: new plaster, patched areas, bare timber, stained spots. Skipping these steps is how you end up with visible filler, flashing and patchy sheen. We don't skip them.

The process

What we do, step by step

01

Quote and colours

We look at the job, talk through colours and finishes if you want input, and give you a clear quote.

02

Protect the space

Floors, furniture and fittings covered and masked before any paint comes out.

03

Prepare the surfaces

Fill, sand, clean and prime, the step that decides the finish, done properly before any topcoat goes on.

04

Paint and clean up

Cut in by hand, even coats, the right number for full consistent coverage. Furniture back, masking off, space left tidy.

What you can expect

How we work with you

Honest advice, not an upsell.

We tell you what your home actually needs, and what it doesn't. If something can wait, we'll say so. We'd rather build a long relationship than win one oversized job.

We treat the cause, not just the surface.

Most coastal problems come back because they were patched, not fixed. We work out what's actually driving the damage (salt, moisture, corrosion) and deal with that, so the repair lasts.

A proper look before any quote.

We assess your property in person before we put a number on anything. It's free, there's no obligation, and it's the only honest way to quote coastal work, because every home is exposed differently.

The coast is all we do.

We're not generalists who also do beach houses. Coastal salt, corrosion and weather are our entire focus, which is why we catch the things others miss.

Where we work

Fremantle based. Dawesville to Two Rocks.

We service the Western Australian coastal corridor from Dawesville in the south to Two Rocks in the north, from the beachfront to roughly 10km inland. Interior Painting is available across the full service area.

Common questions

FAQs

How much does interior painting cost in Perth?

It depends on the number and size of rooms, the amount of preparation needed, ceiling heights, and the finish you choose. We quote from a walkthrough of the actual space in Perth, using the same fixed-quote approach as our house painting work. The price we give is the price you pay. See the house painting cost guide for indicative ranges.

How long does it take to paint the interior of a house?

A single room is often a day or so; a full interior repaint of a house typically takes several days to a week or more, depending on size, prep and how many coats and colours are involved. We'll give you a realistic timeframe with your quote so you can plan around it.

Do I need to move out while you paint?

Usually not. Interior painting is generally done room by room so you can keep living in the home, and low-odour, low-VOC paints make staying comfortable. For a fast whole-home repaint some people prefer to be out, but it's rarely necessary.

Do you move furniture and protect floors?

Yes. We cover and protect floors, furniture and fittings before any painting starts, and move what needs moving. Protecting the space is part of the job, and everything goes back and is left tidy at the end.

Can you help with colour choices?

Yes, if you'd like input we're happy to talk through colours and finishes, including how a colour will look in your light and which sheens suit which rooms. If you already know what you want, we'll match it exactly.
