Maintenance Plans

Most coastal homes are maintained backwards.

The coast doesn't stop, so protection can't either. Salt Coast maps your whole property, then keeps salt, corrosion and weather from ever getting ahead of it.

The usual way

A coastal home gets looked after by emergency.

The paint peels, so you repaint. The render bubbles, so you fix it. The balustrade rusts, so you deal with it. Each job is a reaction to damage that's already happened, and by the time you can see it, salt has been working on the place for months or years.

The Salt Coast way

A maintenance plan, not a paint job.

A plan treats your home the way a dentist treats your teeth. You don't wait for a problem and then react; you're on a schedule, things get checked before they fail, and small issues are dealt with while they're still small and cheap. The coast never stops arriving, so the answer isn't a one-off fix. It's a rhythm.

How it works

One walkthrough puts your whole home on the record

01

We map everything on the first visit

It starts with a job you want done: a repaint, a deck, a wash-down. While we're on site quoting that work, we walk the whole property and catalogue it: every surface and fixture, its material, its condition, and when it'll next need attention.

02

The property register becomes your plan

That catalogue is the plan. Each item (the render, the roof, the decking, the gates, the BBQ, the stainless) gets its own maintenance clock based on what it's made of and how exposed it is. All on the record with a photo and a next-due date.

03

We come back before things fail

The schedule does the remembering. Ahead of each item being due, we're in touch to arrange the visit, the same way your dentist reminds you it's time. We catch the bigger surface work before it becomes a strip-and-redo.

What's on the plan

The surfaces you coat, and the fixtures you protect

Longer cycles

Surfaces

Exterior paint and render, roofs, decking and timber, driveways and masonry. Cleaned, sealed, repaired and recoated on longer cycles, with salt washed off in between, so coatings last.

  • Exterior paint & render
  • Roofs, decking & timber
  • Driveways & masonry
Shorter cycles

Fixtures & hardware

Outdoor metal, balustrades, gates and railings, lighting, the BBQ, door and window hardware, stainless. Cleaned, treated and re-protected on shorter cycles, because that's how fast salt works on them.

The single most valuable job

The regular salt wash-down

Tying it all together is the regular salt wash-down, removing salt before it bites is the single most valuable recurring job on the coast. It's what protects everything else on the plan.

Why this works better on the coast

Prevention is cheaper than repair, by a wide margin.

The cost of a wash vs a re-render
0 Dates you have to remember

A regular wash and a timely touch-up cost a fraction of stripping peeled paint, re-rendering a salt-damaged wall or replacing corroded fixtures. The maintenance plan isn't an added expense on top of looking after your home. It's the cheapest way to look after it, because it stops the expensive failures happening at all.

It also means you're never the one keeping track. No diarising when the deck's due or noticing the gates have started to rust. Your home's on a record, the record runs the schedule, and the schedule brings us back. That's the whole point: a coastal home that simply stays right, without you having to manage it.

Common questions

FAQs

When do maintenance visits start?

Salt Coast launches in early 2027. Registering your interest now costs nothing and puts you first in line: among the first properties mapped and scheduled when visits begin. We'll keep you posted as launch approaches.

What does a maintenance plan include?

It covers the two things the coast attacks: the surfaces you coat and the fixtures you protect. Exterior paint and render, roofs, decking, driveways and masonry on longer cycles; outdoor metal, balustrades, lighting, the BBQ and door hardware on shorter ones, plus the regular salt wash-down that ties it all together. Each item sits on its own schedule based on what it's made of and how exposed it is.

How often are visits scheduled?

There's no single interval: each surface and fixture gets its own clock. Front-line surfaces that cop the most salt come up more often; sheltered ones less. The schedule does the remembering: ahead of each item being due, we're in touch to arrange the visit, the same way your dentist reminds you it's time.

Why maintain instead of just repainting when it fails?

Because salt damage is far cheaper to prevent than to repair. A regular wash and a timely touch-up cost a fraction of stripping peeled paint, re-rendering a salt-damaged wall or replacing corroded fixtures. Maintaining isn't an added expense on top of looking after your home. It's the cheapest way to look after it, because it stops the expensive failures happening at all.

Can a plan start after someone else painted the property?

Yes. We start with a walkthrough to map your property as it is today: every surface, its material and condition, and when it'll next need attention, regardless of who did the last coat. From there your home goes on the record and the schedule takes over.
