Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Salt Coast Group Pty Ltd (ABN 55 699 229 322) collects through saltcoast.com.au and in the course of providing our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
Enquiries and quotes. When you contact us or request a quote we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, property address, a description of your project, and any plans or photos you attach. We use these to respond to you, assess the work and prepare your quote.
The maintenance guide. If you request our coastal maintenance guide we collect your email address to send it, along with occasional coastal maintenance reminders as described at the point of signup, no more than a few times a year. You can stop these at any time by replying to any email or using the unsubscribe link.
Clients and the property register. If you become a client we keep records of the work we do for you: quotes, job details, invoices, photographs of the surfaces we assess and treat, and the condition notes that let us remind you when maintenance falls due. This is core to how we deliver ongoing coastal maintenance.
Calls and messages. Business calls may be recorded for record-keeping and training; where calls are recorded you will hear a notice first. SMS conversations with us are retained with your customer record so we have the history of what was discussed and agreed.
Website analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used (pages visited, how you found us) so we can improve it. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes limited technical data to filter spam.
Where you came from. Your browser keeps a short note of how you reached this site (an ad, a search, another site or one of our emails) and which of our pages you looked at, for up to 90 days. It stays on your device. If you send us an enquiry, the note goes with it, so we know what brought you to us; it is kept with your enquiry and not shared.
Session recordings. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors move through the site: where they scroll, what they click and where a page gets in the way. It records visits as replays and heatmaps so we can fix what is not working. What you type into our forms is masked and is not recorded. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Advertising cookies. We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and The Trade Desk, and their tracking pixels run on this site through Google Tag Manager. They record that your browser visited, which pages you viewed and whether you enquired, and share that with the platform so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the site. The platforms may link that activity to an account you hold with them and use it under their own privacy policies. You can opt out through Meta's ad preferences, Google's My Ad Centre or The Trade Desk's opt-out page, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. The site works the same either way. When you send an enquiry, we also give Google a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email address and phone number you entered. Google matches it against its own accounts to tell us whether the enquiry followed a click on one of our ads, under its customer data terms.
How your information is stored
We use reputable service providers to run the business, including our website host, job management, accounting and payment platforms. Some providers may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure providers we use protect personal information to the standards that apply in Australia.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. Apart from the advertising measurement described above, we do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not send you marketing you have not asked for.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we do not need to keep. Contact hello@saltcoast.com.au. If you have a privacy concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be at this address, with the date above.
