Gutter Cleaning

Gutter Cleaning for Coastal WA Homes

Salt Coast cleans gutters across Perth and the WA coast, clearing the run-off path that protects your roof, fascia, downpipes and walls. It's a small, regular job that prevents some of the most expensive damage a home can cop, especially before storm season. Like every job, it starts with a free walkthrough and a fixed quote, and it fits naturally into an ongoing maintenance schedule so it never gets forgotten. Part of our pressure washing & cleaning service.

More than a clogged gutter

Why coastal gutters fill faster, and why it matters

Blocked gutters cause more damage than people expect. When the run-off path is clogged, water backs up under the roof edge, overflows against the fascia and walls, and pools where it shouldn't, feeding rot, rust and damp long before anyone notices. On the coast it's worse on two fronts: salt accelerates corrosion on every metal gutter, fascia and fixing the overflow touches, and coastal blocks often carry more wind-blown debris and leaf litter. Left through a wet winter, a $200 clean turns into fascia replacement, roof leaks or rusted-through guttering. The point of regular gutter cleaning isn't the gutter itself. It's everything downstream of it. Clear the path and the water goes where it's meant to.

Cleared and checked

How we clean a gutter run

01

Walkthrough and fixed quote

We look at the property, the gutter runs and the access, and give you one fixed price.

02

Clear the gutters and downpipes

We remove leaves, debris and built-up silt from the full run, and check the downpipes are flowing. A clear gutter that drains into a blocked downpipe is only half the job.

03

Check while we're up there

We're already at roof level, so we look at the fascia, the gutter condition, any early rust or damage, and flag anything that's starting, before it becomes the expensive version.

04

Leave it draining

The run-off path clear, water going where it should, and a heads-up on anything worth watching.

What you can expect

How we work with you

Honest advice, not an upsell.

We tell you what your home actually needs, and what it doesn't. If something can wait, we'll say so. We'd rather build a long relationship than win one oversized job.

We treat the cause, not just the surface.

Most coastal problems come back because they were patched, not fixed. We work out what's actually driving the damage (salt, moisture, corrosion) and deal with that, so the repair lasts.

A proper look before any quote.

We assess your property in person before we put a number on anything. It's free, there's no obligation, and it's the only honest way to quote coastal work, because every home is exposed differently.

The coast is all we do.

We're not generalists who also do beach houses. Coastal salt, corrosion and weather are our entire focus, which is why we catch the things others miss.

Why it matters

Built for the coast.

Anyone can paint a wall or wash a house. The coast is different: salt gets into render, corrodes metal from the inside, and breaks down coatings from underneath, and it never stops. Treating coastal problems like inland ones is why so much work fails early.

Salt Coast exists for exactly this. We diagnose before we treat, use methods and materials suited to coastal exposure, and build ongoing maintenance relationships rather than one-off jobs. That's how a coastal home stays sound instead of lurching from one repair to the next.

Maintenance Plans

Keep your home ahead of the coast, not chasing it.

Without a plan

You wait for paint to peel, render to bubble, metal to rust, then react to damage that's been spreading for months.

On a plan

We catch it before it shows, while every fix is still small, cheap and quick, and you never lift a finger to manage it.

Common questions

FAQs

How often should you clean gutters in Perth?

For most homes, at least once a year, ideally before storm season. Coastal properties and homes under trees often need it twice a year, because they collect debris faster and salt corrodes blocked, wet guttering quickly.

Roof growth ends up in the gutters, why coastal roofs grow it and how to remove it

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Perth?

It depends on the size of the home, the length of the gutter runs and the access, so we quote from a walkthrough. The price we give is fixed.

Do you clean downpipes as well as gutters?

Yes. A clear gutter draining into a blocked downpipe still overflows, so we check and clear the downpipes as part of the job.

Can a blocked gutter really damage my house?

Yes, overflowing gutters drive water into the fascia, roof edge and walls, feeding rot, rust and damp. On the coast salt makes the corrosion faster. Regular clearing is one of the cheapest ways to protect the structure.
